Surviving on Lockdown

Life as we experienced it has drastically altered. The world beyond our doors is a ghost of its former glory. We are now trapped within the boundaries of our homes, forced to conform to a new normal. The days blend, marked by the rhythm of online meetings, binging media, and baking. We crave for the simple activities that were once granted for granted: a hike in the home arrest park, a coffee with friends, or even just a chat without a screen amidst us.

This new situation has forced challenges, but it has also exposed unexpected qualities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more compassionate, more inventive, and more thankful for the simple things in life. As we navigate this uncharted territory, we must keep hopeful that brighter days are near.

Freedom's Six-Foot Line

Life behind bars is a harsh reality. Every day, you face limitations that feel like an unbreakable chain. The world outside seems so reachable, yet it's separated by just a mere six feet.

Sometimes, the weight of those bars feels insurmountable. You crave freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a constant echo that you're confined.

But even in the darkest moments, there's a flicker of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be free. That day might seem distant, but it's a dream worth holding onto.

Confined Liberation

The allure of freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can also lead to confinement. This manifests when the very notion for freedom becomes perverted, transforming into a tool for control and suppression.

Genuine freedom demands not only the absence for external constraints but also the cultivation of internal strength. When this inner core is lacking, even amidst a society that celebrates freedom, individuals can find themselves bound within the limitations of their own thoughts.

Consequently, the true measure with freedom lies in our ability to liberate ourselves the constraints that limit our potential, both externally and internally.
